NPO Digital Kodomo BASE (hereinafter "we," "us," or "our organization"), as a Japanese non-profit organization (NPO) dedicated to closing the digital divide for children, recognizes the importance of personal information entrusted to us. - Registration for events, classes, or our After-School Lab: participant's name, parent/guardian's name, age and grade, contact details (email, phone), emergency contact
- Application for the PC Bank (donation/distribution program): name, address, contact details, and information on household circumstances as relevant
- Donations and supporter applications: name, address, contact details, donation amount, payment information (handled via a payment processor)
- Inquiries: name, contact details, content of inquiry
- Volunteer applications: name, contact details, background, available hours
3. Purposes of Use
We use personal information only for the following purposes:
- Operating events, classes, and other activities, and communicating with participants and parents/guardians
- Operating the PC Bank donation and distribution program
- Receiving donations, issuing receipts, and reporting activities to ongoing supporters
- Responding to inquiries
- Coordinating volunteer activities
- Reporting on and publicizing our activities (photographs may be used only with prior consent)
- Fulfilling obligations under applicable laws and norms
4. Handling of Personal Information of Minors (Children)
Because children are the primary beneficiaries of our work, we exercise particular care in handling personal information about minors.
- For collection of personal information from individuals under the age of 15, we obtain consent from a parent or guardian as a general rule
- For photography or video recording at events, and for use of such material in our publicity, we confirm parent/guardian consent in advance
- We respond promptly to requests for deletion or suspension of use submitted by the minor or their parent/guardian
5. No Disclosure or Provision to Third Parties
We will not disclose or provide personal information to third parties without the consent of the individual (or the parent/guardian, in the case of a minor), except where required by law or where necessary to protect the life, body, or property of a person.
6. Supervision of Outsourced Parties
When we outsource the handling of personal information (e.g., payment processing, email delivery, cloud storage), we enter into agreements with providers that meet applicable security-management standards and exercise appropriate supervision.
7. Use of Cookies and Analytics Tools
Our website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand site usage and improve our services. GA4 uses cookies to collect access information anonymously; it does not collect information that personally identifies you.

In the event of an incident, we will promptly take corrective action and, in accordance with applicable laws, notify the affected individuals and report to Japan's Personal Information Protection Commission.
9. Rights of Individuals
When an individual (or their parent/guardian, in the case of a minor) requests notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction, deletion, suspension of use, or suspension of third-party provision of their personal information, we will verify their identity and respond promptly in accordance with applicable laws.
