There may be someone in your class who seems able to do everything right from the start. He is quick in calculations, good at presentations, and good at games. When I see people like that, I sometimes think, "Maybe I'm not the right person."
Over the long run, it is not only the children who seem gifted from the start who grow the most. Children who keep growing usually know how to say, "I can't do it yet."
Growing kids pay attention to the process
If you only look at what you can do or not, you will only see results. A growing child looks in the middle. I made one less mistake than yesterday. I was able to ask questions earlier. I look at my hands less often while typing. People who notice such small changes have the strength to continue.
Do not be afraid to ask questions
Children who thrive don't hide what they don't understand. You can say, "I understand this far," or "I don't understand this." This is a very strong force. Even in programming, if you can tell where something stopped, you can find a place to fix it.
Choose one thing you're not good at, and write down one thing you can't do yet, but that you did a little better than yesterday.
At Digital Kodomo BASE, we value experimenting and changing rather than what we can do from the beginning. Computers, AI, and programming are tools that help you find yourself growing little by little.
