On days when a friend says something strong to me, or days when I feel like I've made a mistake and been laughed at, my heart feels heavy even when I go home. When something unpleasant happens, it's natural to not feel well right away.
The power to bounce back is not the power to feel nothing. It's the ability to admit the feelings you didn't like and gradually put yourself back together. There's no need to blame yourself for being depressed. First of all, just saying, "I didn't like today" will help you sort out your feelings a little.
Close the screens of your heart one by one
If you open many screens on your computer, it will become slow. The same goes for the heart. When you keep remembering unpleasant things, your mind becomes full. When this happens, try calming your body first by taking deep breaths, drinking water, or taking a short walk.
Give it to someone you trust
You don't have to deal with all the unpleasant things alone. Tell your family, teachers, and other adults around you that something like this happened to you. Talking is about sharing some of the weight, not pushing the problem onto others.
If you have a bad experience, write down in one sentence what you didn't like about it, and think about whether you can talk about it with someone you trust.
At Digital Kodomo BASE, we value a place where children can spend time and experiment with peace of mind. Resilience is not the ability to endure alone, but the ability to find a way to come back.
