Saying "I Don't Know" Is a Strength

It can be difficult to say, "I don't understand," when everyone seems to understand something during class or activities. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who's behind, and I get quiet. How you use digital tools can change how you learn.

Being able to say "I don't know" helps you keep learning instead of pretending you already understand.

You don't have to say you don't understand everything

If you find it difficult to say, "I don't understand everything," try saying "I understand this far," or "I don't understand this." This will make it easier for teachers and friends to help you.

I don't know is the starting point

There's no shame in not knowing. It's proof that you're learning something new. Every time you find something you don't understand, you get another chance to learn.

What you can do today
If there is something you don't understand, try dividing it into "I understand this far" and "I don't understand this."

At Digital Kodomo BASE, we value the time we spend together finding out things we don't understand. Strong people are not people who know everything, but people who listen and move forward.
