Watching Good Work Alone Will Not Help You Grow

The way you interact with digital will change dramatically if you try creating something rather than just looking at it. Even if you can't do it well, the experience of working with your own hands will give you strength later on. When you share something you made or care about, it helps to think about how it will be useful to the other person.

Tell them that watching can be a learning experience, but that they need time to use their hands in order to improve.

Seeing is a start, not a goal

You can get ideas and methods by looking at reference works. However, if that's all there is to it, it can be hard to stay with yourself.

If you make even a little bit, it will become your strength.

Try one copy, change the color, change the order. Just by doing that, "what you see" will turn into "something you can use yourself."

What you can do today
If you see something you like, try copying just one piece that day.

At Digital Kodomo BASE, we value the experience of making something more than a good work. Digital becomes more interesting when you turn to the creator side.
