Knowing How to Stop Matters Too

Have you ever been playing a game or watching a video, only to find out that a lot of time has passed, even though you thought you only had 5 minutes left? Digital is fun, but if you don't have the strength to stop it yourself, it will end up interfering with your studies, sleep, and even your time at home.

It's not the child who stays strong for the long term who is strong.

When you think of a child who is good at digital, you may think of a child who uses it a lot. But the ones who are really strong are the ones who can decide to "end here" rather than the ones who use it for a long time. Once you decide how to end it, it becomes easier to shift your mind to what to do next.

All you have to do is decide how it ends first.

For example, you can draw a line first, such as limiting your time to three videos, taking a break after one game, and dividing your research into 20-minute sections. It's much easier to decide before you start than to stop in the middle of the fun. Children who can finish their work by themselves can become people who use their time.

What you can do today
Let's decide on just one "signal to end" in today's digital time. A timer or a sharp scene is fine.

At Digital Kodomo BASE, we value not only the amount you use, but also how you use it. Rather than eliminating fun things, let's develop one step at a time the ability to choose how things end.
