Volunteering Isn't Only for Special People

When you hear "volunteer," it can feel like something only specially admirable people do. But it's fine to start much smaller.

Helping clean up the neighborhood. Carrying things at an event. Explaining things to younger children. Connecting someone in trouble with an adult. Helping in the way you can is also a connection with society.

Offer a Little of What You Can Do

Volunteering doesn't mean carrying everything alone. It means offering a small bit of your time and ability to society.

Whether you're already good at something or not yet sure of yourself, there's a way to help. What matters is taking one step toward being useful to someone.

Helping Brings Society Closer

When you help, you sometimes notice work and feelings you couldn't see before. The neighbors, the people preparing, and those cleaning up all become more visible.

Volunteering isn't just watching society from a distance — it's stepping into it yourself.

What you can do today
Look for one thing at home, school, or in your community that you might be able to help with a little.

At Digital Kodomo BASE, we value experiences where children connect with society. Helping in small ways helps you feel that you, too, are part of society.
