Ideas That Make Life Easier Before You Turn Ten

Homework, lessons, and promises with friends. When you have a lot to do every day, your mind may become overwhelmed with thoughts like, "I have to do it right." At times like these, there is a secret that will make your life a little easier.

There are ideas that make life feel a little easier when children learn them early.

The days when things don't go well are the days when you change your strategy.

For example, if you're bad at typing, instead of deciding, "Today I'm going to practice for 10 minutes," you might make it smaller by saying, "Today I'll only type 5 letters correctly." If you make a mistake in calculation, instead of thinking, "I'm not good enough," turn it into a game where you have to find out where you went wrong. When you're feeling down, simply setting smaller goals will help you move more easily.

Rather than comparing yourself to others, look at yourself as you were yesterday.

If the person next to you can do it faster, you may feel rushed. But life is not a race to run on the same course. You have your own path. I was able to concentrate for one minute longer than yesterday. I was able to hit it a little faster than before. That is also a great step forward.

What you can do today
Today's little secret Choose one thing you couldn't do and write one line on a piece of paper asking, "What should I make smaller next time?"

At Digital Kodomo BASE, we create time for children to experiment at their own pace using computers, AI, and programming. Start small. That's the first strategy to make your life a little easier.
