How to Stop Being Afraid of Being Alone

When you are alone during recess, you may be concerned about how others perceive you. There may be days when you feel like, "I don't want people to think I don't have any friends."

Time alone is not always a bad thing. It can also help you calm down and get your thoughts back.

Make alone time your friend

Read a book, draw a picture, practice typing, write an idea for a game you want to make. There are many things you can do in your alone time. Time with others is important, but time with yourself is also important.

Connect when needed

You don't have to endure it alone forever. When you feel lonely, talk to someone you trust or go to a place where you feel safe. The ability to be alone and the ability to ask for help are both important.
