When you think "I can't do it," it can feel like the end. If there are other people around you, it may become even more difficult.
But now that I can't, I'm still growing. Just as a baby falls many times before learning to walk, there is a period of time when a child cannot learn something new.
Still, put on
Let's add "not yet" to "I can't". "I can't do it yet." That alone leaves possibilities for the future. The way you use words can change the way you feel.
Take care of the middle
Even if it's not complete, if you've made a little more progress than you did yesterday, that's growth. One letter in typing, one line in programming, one sentence in presentation. There is some real value along the way.
Choose one thing you're not good at and write, "I can't do it yet, but I've made progress so far."
At Digital Kodomo BASE, we support children who start from where they can't. What you can't do now is the gateway to future growth.
