Trying Only to Beat Others Gets Heavy

The feelings of "I want to be better than that girl" and "I don't want to lose" can give you the strength to persevere. However, if that is your only goal, you may not feel secure even if you win, or you may end up feeling much more depressed.

If you only look at the other person, it becomes difficult to see yourself.

If you keep thinking about comparing yourself to others, it will be difficult to see how much you have improved from before. If you only feel good when you're winning, and everything seems like crap when you lose, it's easy to find it hard to keep going.

Have goals that allow you to see your growth

I was faster than before, more detailed than before, and calmer than before. If you have a goal to see yourself change, you can get away from the pain of comparing yourself. Children who are able to discover what they are progressing through rather than comparing themselves to others are strong.

What you can do today
Choose one of your current goals and change it from "beating others" to "how can I change myself?"

At Digital Kodomo BASE, we value not only winning and losing, but also seeing your own growth. If you're a little more advanced than before, that's an impressive force.
