Holding Too Tightly to One Dream Can Make Things Harder

It may seem cool to have a dream so strong that you think, "This is all I have" or "This is all I have to do." However, if you decide too much on one thing from an early age, even the slightest change can cause you to suffer. Even when it comes to homework and lessons, small steps you do every day can make a big difference later on.

If you only have one, it will be painful when it shakes.

It's natural that what you like changes, that it's different from what you thought, or that you find another thing you're good at. However, if you are tightly bound to one thing, you will be afraid of change itself. When your field of vision becomes narrower, it becomes harder to see the roads you should be able to choose.

It's okay to have a few things to worry about.

I like this now, but I'm also curious about this. There's no problem with having that kind of space. Before narrowing your dreams down to just one, it's good to have a period of time where you can grow several and compare them. Children who can hold a wide range of things will be able to make strong choices later on.

What you can do today
Write down not one, but three things you are currently concerned about. It is also a good idea to have a wide range of items.

At Digital Kodomo BASE, we value looking at your potential broadly rather than making a quick decision. Having a choice is not a weakness.
