How Are Donations Used?

We describe donations by what they buy, not by claiming they fund the whole operation.

Main uses: (1) workshop supplies such as printouts, batteries, and craft parts; (2) parts and setup costs to make donated PCs usable; (3) stationery and materials for the after-school lab; (4) volunteer travel and other out-of-pocket costs.

Amount guide: 500 yen covers printouts and batteries for one workshop. 1,000 yen is about one child’s materials for a month. 3,000 yen covers parts or several workshop kits. 30,000 yen covers one refurbished PC and a chance to learn how to use it. 500 yen a month does not cover rent or staff. Small gifts buy the things children touch.
