If you count the jobs you know, you'll usually stop at a few dozen. They're mostly the ones you've seen on screens or nearby.
In fact, there are many jobs whose names you've never heard: people who repair machines, tidy data, design sound, or care for animals at a centre.
You Can't Choose What You Don't Know
Your options are only as many as the jobs you know. However well it might suit you, a job you've never heard of can't be chosen.
So before deciding your future early, it helps more to increase the number of jobs you know about.
The jobs shown on TV and online are the eye-catching ones. In reality, far more work happens out of sight.
All You Have to Do Is Ask
Ask a family member or a neighbour, "What kind of work do you do?" Each person you ask adds one more world you know about.
Ask someone at home what takes up the most time in their work.
At Digital Kodomo BASE, we value widening your options more than deciding early.
