「A は B より〜だ」
肯定文の例
Tom is taller than Mike.（トムはマイクより背が高い）
This book is more interesting than that one.（この本はあれよりおもしろい）
She runs faster than I.（彼女は私より速く走る）
My bag is bigger than yours.（私のかばんは君のより大きい）
Mt. Fuji is higher than Mt. Aso.（富士山は阿蘇山より高い）
English is easier than math for me.（私には英語のほうが数学より簡単だ）
比較級の作り方（規則変化）

短い語 vs 長い語
1音節〜短い2音節：-er（tall, fast, big, easy, happy）
長い2音節〜3音節以上：more + 原級（beautiful, interesting, important, expensive）
迷ったら辞書で確認 → 比較級が載っている
例外的に -er と more 両方OKな語もある（quiet → quieter / more quiet）

否定：be動詞 / 一般動詞の否定形
Tom is not taller than Mike.
疑問：be動詞 / Do を文頭に

Which is bigger, Japan or Germany?（どちらが大きい？）
— Japan is.
「Aの方が〜だ」を表す表現
Which is + 比較級, A or B?（A と B、どちらが〜？）
例：Which is older, this book or that one?
主語 + 動詞 + 比較級 + than + 比べる対象
例：He runs faster than his brother.
比較級は「much」で強められる：much taller（ずっと背が高い）
例：This is much more interesting.（こちらの方がずっと面白い）
than の後の代名詞
文法的に正しいのは 主格：She is taller than I (am).
会話では 目的格もよく使われる：She is taller than me.
テストでは「than + 主格」（I, he, she, we, they）を覚えておくと安心
- 1〜2音節の短い語：-er（fast → faster, easy → easier）
- 3音節以上の長い語：more（beautiful → more beautiful）
- 迷ったら辞書で確認
- × more faster（重複NG）
- ○ faster または much faster
- × Tom is taller Mike.（than がない）
- ○ Tom is taller than Mike.
- 「〜より」の意味は than が担当
- good → better、bad → worse、many/much → more、little → less
- これらは絶対に「-er」をつけない
- × gooder、badder、manyer はNG
