復習：間接疑問の形
疑問詞 + 主語 + 動詞（do / does / did は消える）
導入の表現
- I know ...：〜を知っている

疑問詞別のパターン
I don't know what she wants.

主節の時制が過去のとき ── 時制の一致
直接：What is he doing?
間接（現在主節）：I don't know what he is doing.
間接（過去主節）：I didn't know what he was doing.（時制シフト）

直接：Is he busy?
間接：I want to know if he is busy.
直接：Did she leave?
間接：Tell me if she left.

疑問詞ごとのまとめ

- Who lives next door? → I know who lives next door.
- Which is better? → I don't know which is better.
- このタイプは do/does/did が出ないので、「疑問詞 + 主語 + 動詞」に無理やり直さない。
- 見分け方：疑問詞のすぐ後ろに動詞が来て、その疑問詞自体が主語ならこの型。
- 直接疑問の do/does/did は、間接化で 消える
- 動詞は本来の形：does + speak → speaks、did + go → went
- be動詞は語順だけ変わる：is he → he is、was he → he was
- 例：What does she want? → I don't know what she wants.
- 直接疑問は「疑問詞 + 動詞 + 主語」
- 間接疑問は「疑問詞 + 主語 + 動詞」（普通の語順に戻る）
- 例：Where is he? → I know where he is.
- 主語と動詞の順序を間違えないように
- 主節が過去 → 従節も過去にシフト
- I don't know what he is doing. → I didn't know what he was doing.
- 主節の時制を必ず確認
会話で使う間接疑問の例
道を聞く：Could you tell me how to get to the station?
時間を聞く：Do you know what time it is?
名前を聞く：Could you tell me what your name is?
方法を聞く：Could you tell me how I can use this?
場所を聞く：Do you know where the restroom is?
→ 直接「Where is the restroom?」より 丁寧に聞ける
疑問詞 + to 不定詞（中3応用）
- what to do：何をすべきか
- where to go：どこへ行くべきか
- how to use：どのように使うか
- when to start：いつ始めるか
- 例：I don't know what to do.（何をすればいいかわからない）
- 例：Tell me how to use this.（これをどう使うか教えて）
- → 間接疑問の 短い形として使える
I wonder + 間接疑問
I wonder what time he will come.（彼は何時に来るんだろう）
I wonder where she is now.（彼女は今どこにいるんだろう）
I wonder why he didn't call me.（なぜ電話くれなかったんだろう）
I wonder if it will rain tomorrow.（明日雨が降るかな）
→ 独り言や柔らかい疑問の表現として使う
関係代名詞と間接疑問の見分け
関係代名詞：The man who lives next door is kind.（隣に住んでいる男）
間接疑問：I know who lives next door.（誰が隣に住んでいるか知っている）
違い：
関係代名詞 → 直前の名詞を修飾（the man who...）
間接疑問 → 動詞の目的語になる（know who...）
英語で使えるようにする練習
この単元は、説明を読んで終わりにすると定着しません。次の型を、主語・時・目的語を入れ替えながら声に出してください。
I know where he lives.
Do you know what this is?
Please tell me when she will come.
- 間接疑問は疑問文の語順にしない。
- Where does he live? → where he lives。
- Yes/No疑問は if/whether を使う。

who / which が主語なので、語順は大きく変わらない。
主節を過去にして、下線部に入る形を答えよ。
- I don't know where she lives. → I didn't know where she ___.
- I am not sure what he is doing. → I wasn't sure what he ___ doing.

主節が過去になると、従節も過去側にそろえるのが基本。
- 私は彼がどこに住んでいるか知っています。

まとめ
- 間接疑問：疑問詞 + 主語 + 動詞（do/does/did は消える）。
- who / which が主語のときは、who lives ... / which is ... のようにそのまま続く。

- 主節が過去なら従節も過去にシフト（時制の一致）。
